In collaboration with The Federal Twist Vineyard, Kermesse Sport and V5 Cycles, 170 riders traveled up to 100 miles through the beautiful back roads and trails of both Hunterdon and Bucks Counties on September 18. Starting and ending at The Federal Twist Vineyard made for a beautiful morning backdrop followed by a great afternoon picnic with live music and wine tasting upon return.
Riders and volunteers had the opportunity to indulge in a sampling of the wines produced at the winery, enjoy some grilled burgers or veggie burgers and more all while listening to live music among the grapes.
Riders and volunteers all received commemorative wine glasses that we raised in to rare disease information, advocacy and receiving the necessary funds to assist rare pediatric GI patient families with out-of-pocket and insurance-denied expenses.
An event of this size takes a village and we want to thank all of our sponsors, donors, riders, volunteers and Board Members.
Save the date for next year’s #CaringForRare Ride. It is scheduled for Sunday, September 17th at The Federal Twist Vineyard once again. Registration will open on January 1st.
